WIMBLEDON, England - Petra Kvitova won her second Wimbledon title in emphatic fashion, beating Eugenie Bouchard, 6-3, 6-0, on Saturday.
Kvitova, who also won in 2011, displayed both overwhelming power and uncharacteristically impenetrable defense. A 24-year-old Czech seeded sixth, she will rise to No. 4 in next week's WTA rankings.
Bouchard, a 20-year-old Canadian, was making her first appearance in a Grand Slam final. She had made the semifinals at both the Australian Open and the French Open this year and was the 2012 junior champion at Wimbledon.
