Tottenham Hotspur are considering a move to sign Real Betis winger Alvaro Vadillo this summer, according to the Mirror. The 18-year-old is one of the jewels to graduate from the Spanish club's academy and he became the second youngest player to feature in La Liga at the age of 16.
Vanilla has featured regularly for Betis since making his way into the first team in the last two seasons and his style of play has seen him being dubbed as the "next Cristiano Ronaldo." Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is keen on signing the winger to strengthen the club's midfield for the new season.
The north London club appointed Franco Baldini as their technical director. The report claims that the Italian has already stepped up Tottenham's interest and is set to make a firm move to bring Vadillo to White Hart Lane.
The youngster's brilliant run for Betis has seen him earn a call for Spain's U19 side for the upcoming U19 European championship in Lithuania, starting on 20 July. His versatile style of either playing on the left or the right wing has seen him being linked with a move away from Spain.

David Moyes could give competition to Tottenham for Vadillo's signature and make an approach for the Spaniard this summer. Meanwhile, any move from Tottenham or United for the winger will not be an easy task during the transfer window.
The winger has hinted to continue with his current employers as he is relishing the chance to start the new season with Betis. The Spaniard is aware of the growing competition for the place in Betis' starting lineup. And Vadillo wants to prove his worth as he is hopeful that the upcoming season will be good both for him and the club.
"Competition is always healthy, helps improve and be always 100%. This year I have really wanted and I hope that will be a great year for both the team and myself," Vadillo told the club's official website.
