'We're baack in the ballroom,' sang Erin Andrews, rocking out a little bit to new opening music as
Dancing With the Stars kicked off Season 19 Monday night.
'You can count the dimples on this cast. Lots of 'em,' said host Tom Bergeron, as the celebs smiled for the cameras.
Also smiling were judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, Julianne Hough - in a super tight dress that seemed to be a malfunction waiting to happen up top (if you know what we mean) - and Bruno Tonioli. Gallery: The Season 19 'Dancing' cast
Without much chit-chat and no introduction from that anonymous British ballroom voice of seasons past, the competition got underway. Here's how the celebs did: Alfonso Ribeiro:

actor was a child star on Broadway, but he says he hasn't danced in 'forever.' You sure wouldn't know it watching him with adorable pro Witney Carson. She said her strategy will be 'to win.' And we will liekly be seeing her and Ribeiro in the finals if their first-night jive is any indication. he was a total pro on the floor. The judges were all blown away. Julianne said he has musicality that you can't teach. Bruno called him the 'king of the night.'
Sadie Robertson: The
Duck Dynasty star and model said her only dancing has been done in her bedroom, alone in front of her mirror. Pro Mark Ballas said he was 'proud' to be getting to help her hone her skills. Their cha cha sizzled, with Sadie showing herself to be a dancing diamond in the rough (in a spangly dress approved by dad Willie). Bruno called her a 'bird of paradise.' Carrie Ann said, 'You're a star, honey. You don't even know it yet.' Said Len: 'Quack, quack, you'll be back.' Julianne said she is the 'entire package.' Scores: 8, 8, 9, 9 = 34

Lea Thompson : The
Back to the Future actress was happy to be getting a 'second chance to visit my first love - dancing.' Her new pro partner Artem Chigvintsev radiated charm instantly. And their foxtrot was flowing. She can clearly dance. The crowd and the judges loved it. 'It was so beautiful,' said Julianne. Bruno called the quality of movement 'exquisite.' Carrie Ann raved. Len liked the technique. Scores: 8, 8, 8, 8 = 32
Bethany Mota: The YouTube vlogger is much more used to sitting in her bedroom talking to the camera, but her jive to Taylor Swift's Shake It off with Derek Hough was bubbling with cuteness. Carrie Ann said it was 'great.' Len thought it was 'terrific.' Julianne urged her to keep up the energy. Bruno said it was 'wonderful.' Scores: 8, 8, 8, 8 = 32
Randy Couture: The MMA champ and actor plans to soften up for the dance floor. 'Feeling clumsy is very frustrating to me,' he said. His foxtrot with pro karina Smirnoff was sweet, sexy and smooth. Bruno called him 'hot Couture.' Carrie Ann said she got 'weak in the knees' watching him. Len said 'it was dandy, Randy.' Julianne, who said more than once during the night that she likes older men, agreed. 'Randy, you're making me randy.' Scores: 8, 7, 8, 8 = 31
Jonathan Bennett: The actor said he lost his dad a few months ago and his favorite show was Dancing With the Stars. He's paired with new pro Allison Holker and their jive was high-energy. He had no problems with it, as he smiled throughout, nailing the steps. Len and Julianne said he's got 'great potential.' Carrie Ann said she was 'blown away.' 'That was the most fun I've ever had in my life!' said Jonathan in the skybox. Scores: 8, 7, 7, 8 = 30
Janel Parrish: The
Pretty Little Liars actress is teamed with resident stud Val Chmerkovskiy. 'I love his swag,' she said. And he's already setting up the romance, talking abut how he hopes something 'blossoms' between them. Their jive to
Bang, Bang was assy and modern. Bruno said it was 'like watching JLo.' Carrie Ann said Janel's got 'great potential.' Len liked that it was 'sharp and clean.' Julianne said it was 'raw, sexy and fierce.' Scores: 7, 7, 7, 8 = 29
Tavis Smiley: The political commentator put a lot of effort into his bouncy foxtrot with pro Sharna Burgess, and the judges noticed it. 'You showed us a completely different side,' she said. Bruno liked his comedic touches. Carrie Ann said he's a 'natural mover.' Len liked his 'razamatazz.' Scores: 7, 7, 8, 7 = 29
Tommy Chong: There were lots of pot-smoking joking about the stoner star, who drove up in a smoking car with comic partner Cheech Marin, but Chong's cha cha was legit. He and Peta Murgatroyd shimmied and shook to the delight of the crowd. Julianne said, 'You are extremely sexy.' Bruno was expecting 'bad Grandpa, but got cool Grandpa.' Carrie Ann said it was 'fantastic.' Len 'enjoyed it.' Scores: 7, 6, 7, 7 = 27
Antonio Sabato Jr.: The actor/model's pro partner Cheryl Burke said she 'wasn't expecting' the hunk she got. 'Easy on the eyes,' she said. Burke hasn't won a mirrorball trophy since Season 3, so she plans to pump up his sexy factor to go for the win. Their cha cha, though, was a little clunky. Len said Antonio's footwork wasn't great. Julianne agreed that it was a little 'flatfooted.' Bruno called him an Italian stallion, 'bulging in all the right places!' Scores: 6, 6, 6, 7 = 25
Michael Waltrip: The NASCAR driver zoomed into the ballroom and cha cha'd his heart out with pro Emma Slater, hamming it up for the crowd. 'Fun and entertaining,' said Carrie Ann. Len said, 'The engine was running but you never got out of first gear.' Julianne liked that he was 'having so much fun.' Bruno said he 'looked like a golf cart trying to keep up with a Ferrari.' His defense was that his racing suit was giving him a 'wedgie.' Scores: 7, 6, 6, 6 = 25
Lolo Jones and Keo Motsepe in rehearsals.(Photo: Rick Rowell, ABC)
Lolo Jones: The Olympian who has declared to the world that she is a virgin was a little concerned about the intimacy of her dance. And she should be. She's teamed with the cute and lively new pro Keo Motsepe. Their cha cha showed off his adorable skills and her unsure moves on the floor. Carrie Ann was first up and called him 'Kea,' mispronouncing his name (embarrassing!). Then she told Lolo it was more like an 'uh, oh.' Lolo admitted that it was 'awful,' saying there was a technical glitch at the start. 'I'm honestly really mad.' She then demonstrated that she knows how to cha cha. Len told her not to get 'down on herself.' Scores: 6, 6, 5, 5 = 22
Betsey Johnson: 'I think if you open up Betsey's mind, there's a circus going on,' said the designer's pro partner, Tony Dovolani. Their cha cha to
Material Girl seemed a good fit until she went to pull a feather boa off a rack and it stuck there, the dance completely ending as the music played on. She still ended it with a cartwheel/split anyway. Julianne: 'Girl, you are flexible!' Bruno called her a 'spunky rebel.' Scores: 5, 5, 5, 5 = 20
Tomorrow: One celeb will be eliminated during the results show (ABC, 8 p.m. ET).
