'Why differentiate my toke from your beer?' Charlo Greene asks in a new video posted today.
Greene - who's real name is Charlene Egby - is the Alaska TV reporter who quit her job live and on the air Sunday so she can pursue a career in cannabis activism. Videos of her 'fuck it, I quit' resignation have gone viral this morning, and now she's setting the record straight.
She launched a fundraising campaign and talked on Twitter about why she made such a radical move. And now she has launched a video with a more thorough explanation.

'I'm making it my life work to uphold what America stands for truly,' Greene said in the video. 'Talk to a friend, a mother, a coworker, brother, anyone - just share your own 'My marijuana' story. Show them that we smokers are responsible, contributing members to society. Changing one heart and mind at a time is the only way to legalize marijuana and bask in lady liberty's glory.'
Green closes with a personal admission and a political plea.
'My reporting name is Charlo Greene. My real name is Charlene Egby. I'm the president and CEO of the Alaska Cannabis Club. I'm voting yes on Ballot Measure 2 in Alaska on November 4 because I'm a true American, and voting yes on 2 is a vote for liberty, freedom and fairness. Where do you stand?'
