Thirteen years ago today, tragedy struck America when the horrific terrorist attacks took place on Sept. 11, 2001.
But even such a heartrending catastrophe couldn't dampen our nation's spirits as the terrible events caused our country come together-as we continue to do so more than a decade later.
President
Barack Obama, along with first lady
Michelle Obama and Vice President
Joe Biden observed a moment of silence at the White House early Thursday morning in remembrance of the 13th anniversary of the attacks.
' It has now been thirteen years. Thirteen years since the peace of an American morning was broken,' the POTUS later said during the 9/11 observance ceremony at the Pentagon Memorial in Arlington, Va. 'Thirteen years after small and hateful minds conspired to break us, America stands tall and proud.'
And much like Obama and our fellow American citizens, celebrities are taking a moment to remember those affected by the heartbreaking attacks. Here is what Hollywood is saying on Twitter. #NeverForget.
