From Arnold Schwarzenegger to Jay Cutler to Phil Heath, legends have been made at the Mr. Olympia competition. During the 50th running of the contest, fans can expect plenty of fireworks in
Heath is the reigning champion and has won the last three crowns. The most impressive physique in the world will have to fend off the likes of Kai Greene and 2008 winner Dexter Jackson.
There will be no shortage of freak athletes in contention, but only one winner will be crowned. Since the start of the competition 50 years ago, however, only 13 Mr. Olympias have been named.
Before the event gets underway, here's a look at the schedule and predictions for Mr. Olympia.
2014 Mr. Olympia InformationWhen: Saturday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. PT
Where: Orleans Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada

Competition BreakdownComing into the 2014 event, Heath is the man to beat. The 34-year-old juggernaut has been a force in the sport over the last several years and is still a premier physical specimen.
Clinching yet another Mr. Olympia crown in 2013, Heath has returned to claim what he believes is rightfully his again. Heath spoke about his preparation for the huge contest, per Roger Lockridge of Bodybuilding.com:
Every year is different. No prep is the same. We see different weaknesses and body parts to bring up. I change the diet. My trainer and I make adjustments all the time, and we had to change a lot. The cardio that worked last year didn't work this year. Same with training, so we changed it.
I actually enjoy the prep because I know how to execute, and many guys don't know how to do that. And I go by fact: I won every Olympia with a perfect score. As with every year, I'm really focused on doing that again.
Heath comes in confident about winning his fourth consecutive crown, but it might not be that simple. The current king still reigns over bodybuilding for now, but several others are looking to knock him off the throne.
One of those men is Greene, who came up just short last year. He is more muscular than Heath, but Greene has yet to steal a title away and is five years older than the current champion.
Leading up to the event, Greene and Heath traded words, per NPC News Online:

Aside from Heath and Greene, a myriad of other physical specimens hope to battle for the title.
Jackson, a prior champion, will be looking for another top-five finish in the event. Narrowly earning the ranking last year, Jackson will need to be flawless yet again to take down some of the competitors on the docket.
Dennis Wolf and Shawn Rhoden were third and fourth, respectively, last year. But with the likes of Mamdouh Elssbiay and Branch Warren stepping their game up, either could challenge for a spot in the top five.
Last year saw the largest payout in Mr. Olympia history at $675,000, so there will be plenty on the line for each competitor. Will Heath make it four straight? Can Greene finally earn the crown? Bodybuilding fans will find out on Saturday during the huge spectacle.
