Courtney Garrett.So who was this year's lucky lady? It's a three-peat! Miss New York Kira Kazantsev, 22, has been crowned Miss America 2015! The stunning blonde shrieked in disbelief and excitement when her name was announced. Although, maybe it was meant to be! This is the third time in a row that Miss New York has won the Miss America pageant.
The historic competition, first started in 1921, pits 53 contestants representing all 50 states - as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands - against each other for the title of Miss America.

We hope Kira remembers this special moment and is ready for all the traveling she's about to do! Miss America 2014 Nina Davuluri told NBC News of her own big night in 2013, 'I honestly don't remember the actual crowning moment. It was such a blur!'
Nina, who hails from Syracuse, New York, logged almost 200,000 miles during her reign while promoting Miss America's national community service partner, Children's Miracle Networ, and her personal Diversity and Cultural Competency community service platform.
The most important thing for the winner to remember as her reign begins? Shared Nina, 'My biggest advice is to know who you are, love who you are, and stand up for who you are.'
