The first trailer for 'Dumb and Dumber To' debuted Tuesday on 'The Tonight Show' - and the early returns show Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels have attained genius levels of stupidity.
Prepare to lose some IQ points.
The 2-minute, 40-second trailer opens with Daniels' Harry Dunne making his daily visit to his best pal, Lloyd Christmas (Carey), who has seemingly been in a catatonic state at a mental institution for two decades.
But Lloyd interrupts Harry's heartfelt speech with a 'Got ya!'
'You mean you have been faking for 20 years and it was all for a gag?' exclaims Harry. 'That's awesome!'
And the trailer for the sequel to 1994's 'Dumb and Dumber' promptly goes downhill from there.
Directed by the Farrelly brothers, the movie has taken a meandering route to the big screen - despite the $127 million the original 'Dumb and Dumber' earned at the U.S. box office.

For a long time, Carrey shied away from the revisiting one of his most famous roles.
Warner Bros. ultimately dropped the sequel after two years of development. A previous prequel - which featured neither of the original stars - tanked in theaters in 2003.
Universal Pictures, however, picked up 'Dumb and Dumber To' and fast-tracked it for a Nov. 14 release.
